Free AI Shopping Visibility Score

See whether ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity can read your store. One score, benchmarked against real audited Shopify stores. No email required.

What this checks

AI shopping assistants read structured data, not your theme. This check reads your homepage and your robots.txt the way they do, and scores seven signals.

How the check works

Four steps, all of them run against pages that are already public. Nothing is installed and no admin access is needed.

  1. 1. Enter your store URL

Paste the storefront address, for example yourstore.myshopify.com or your custom domain. No email and no account. Optionally pick what you sell, which decides the cohort your score is compared against.

  2. 2. The checker reads your homepage and robots.txt

It fetches the homepage at that origin and the robots.txt beside it, then parses the JSON-LD, Open Graph tags, and crawler rules out of what comes back. It reads the same public surface a shopper or an AI assistant would, and it does not sign in or touch the Shopify admin.

  3. 3. Seven signals are scored

Product schema, Organization schema, review markup, breadcrumb schema, FAQ schema, AI-crawler policy, and the social card. Each signal passes, half-passes, or fails, and the weighted total becomes a score out of 100.

  4. 4. Compare against the audited corpus

The score maps to an AI-shoppability tier and is placed against the corpus of 1,091 Shopify storefronts audited in Q2 2026, so the result is a position among real stores rather than a number on its own.

Questions about the AI visibility check

What does the AI visibility checker actually look at?
It fetches your storefront homepage and the robots.txt beside it, then scores seven signals out of what comes back: Product schema, Organization schema, review markup, breadcrumb schema, FAQ schema, the AI-crawler policy in robots.txt, and the Open Graph social card. Each one passes, half-passes, or fails, and the weighted result is a score out of 100.
Does it check my product pages?
No. The check reads the homepage at the address you enter, plus robots.txt. That is enough to tell whether a store has a structured-data surface at all, which is the question most stores fail, but it is not a per-product review. The paid $39 audit covers roughly 140 checks across the store rather than seven on one page.
Do I need to give an email address or install anything?
No. There is no signup, no email gate, and nothing to install. The checker only reads pages that are already public, so it never needs access to your Shopify admin. There is an hourly limit on free checks to keep the tool responsive.
What does the score mean?
The weighted total maps to an AI-shoppability tier, and that tier is placed against the corpus of 1,091 Shopify storefronts audited in Q2 2026. So the result is a position among real stores rather than a number on its own. Of the 1,077 stores in that corpus that classified to a cluster, 72.2% fell in the invisible tier and none reached the ready tier.
Why would ChatGPT recommend a competitor instead of my store?
Because AI shopping assistants read structured data rather than page design. A storefront can look finished to a human visitor and still ship no Product or Organization JSON-LD, in which case there is nothing for the assistant to quote when a shopper asks for a recommendation. Across the audited corpus, 68.1% of classified stores shipped no Product or Organization JSON-LD at all.
Is a good score enough on its own?
No. A high score means the structured-data surface an AI assistant reads is present. It says nothing about page speed, checkout friction, or trust signals, which is where a store that is findable can still lose the sale. The free shopper-readiness check covers the human side, and the $39 audit covers both in one pass.
